Established in 1998, HealthQuest as a long-standing as well
as growing experience in creating daily fitness routines for our customers. We
have counseled and trained clients in many areas including: strength training;
cardiovascular fitness; flexibility; weight-loss and weight maintenance; injury
rehabilitation; athletic skill development; nutrition; and general wellness. We
have been honored to help people achieve a better state of health through
developing their physical bodies.
Respecting the reality that each individual or group has a
different history, and different needs, goals, and interests, our fitness
professionals develop a very individualized approach through detailed
assessment. We can then implement a program working one-on-one with a client.
We can also develop plans for couples, small groups or athletic teams.
During each training session we emphasize proper exercise
instruction and personal motivation. We place a strong emphasis on “functional”
movements that train the body to be more skilled and energy efficient during
everyday physical requirements as well as for more rigorous sport specific
demands. The exercises combine traditional resistance exercises with dynamic
balance and core stability strengthening. The use of various exercise apparatus
such as exercise balls, medicine balls, Bosus, gliders, body bars, resistance
bands, and etc. contribute to the versatility and fun of each program.
We always work to promote personal growth and a healthy
body image. We hope that the personal training experience builds awareness and
confidence and helps each individual to awaken, utilize and develop a little
more of their potential. HealthQuest will not advocate fad diets or extreme
exercise trends that are not conducive to long-term health. Rather we aim to
encourage personally inspirational, healthy and manageable routines that promote
a lifelong commitment and enjoyment of health, fitness and longevity.

HealthQuest owner, Stephanie Martin has been certified in
personal training, sports nutrition, and Bosu training through the American
Aerobic Association International, and the International Sports Medicine
Association since 1996 and has a graduate degree in Adventure and Wellness
Education. She renews her certification every year by attending a conference
presenting new research on exercise physiology and training techniques.
